2025 Progress Report: From Vision to Vital Reality

A Milestone Year for the Pet Emergency Group (PEG)

🏥 Mission Accomplished: Launching Peninsula Pet Emergency

After three years of relentless networking, recruitment, and strategic planning, PEG achieved its core mission: bringing after-hours emergency care back to the Olympic Peninsula

  • The Launch: On June 6, 2025, Peninsula Pet Emergency officially opened its doors in Sequim, WA.

  • The Execution: We assisted in facility identification, recruitment, and operational setup to support Dr. Mason and her team.

  • The Impact: In just six months of operation (nights/weekends), the hospital has already become a lifeline for the community, saving or treating over 500 pets.

📢 Community & Digital Engagement

Our strategy of grassroots involvement created a groundswell of support that was critical to the hospital's immediate success.

  • Viral Awareness: When the hospital opening was announced, our digital presence exploded with 21,000 social media impressions and the new facility had 1,300 new website visitors in the first week.

  • Boots on the Ground: We executed over 20 community events, including fairs, business presentations, and two dedicated "Meet & Greets" (Special thanks to Olympic Bluffs Lavender Cidery and Lavender Farm).

  • Pet Lovers Day 2025: Led by Cheyenne Tuller, Laura Segil, and our incredible volunteers, we partnered with KSQM to host a premier event featuring 300+ attendees and 40 vendors.

🎓 Investing in the Future

We are not just solving today's problems; we are investing in tomorrow's workforce.

  • Scholarship Program: Launched our inaugural $1,500 scholarship for high school seniors in Forks, PA, Sequim, and Port Townsend entering a licensed veterinary technician program

  • Public Education: Continued to serve as a trusted resource, expanding our digital library with vital educational content for pet owners.

  • Local Licensed Veterinary Technician Program: Discussions continue with Peninsula College
